The life and legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. will once again be celebrated and honored on Monday.

Washington D.C. marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with their annual parade as the political climate brings some to reflect on the slain Black American civil rights icon’s legacy.

“Don’t use it as a day off. Use it as a day on to do something for someone and more importantly with someone,” said Combs.
